The Soulmate Foundation Corp. is a Vermont-based nonprofit founded by Jonathan and Carol Mogor, creators of Soulmate Brewing Company.
Jonathan’s U.S. Navy service (1992–1998) shaped a lifelong appreciation for the support of civilians who stood behind those in uniform. That gratitude — and the desire to give back — inspired the creation of the Foundation.
The mission carries a deeply personal meaning. Jonathan’s best friend, Scott McHugh, was killed in Iraq in May 2004 during a mortar attack on his unit, NMCB 14. Scott’s memory lives on through every act of kindness the Foundation delivers — a tribute to friendship, service, and the bonds that never fade.

We believe that gratitude can be as simple—and as powerful—as sharing a beer. Through meaningful moments of connection, The Soulmate Foundation uplifts active-duty military members and first responders, reminding them that their sacrifices are seen, valued, and never forgotten.
Our Flagship Program: Cases4Bases.org
Our nationwide initiative, Cases4Bases.org, expands the brewery’s Pour It Forward™ program beyond the taproom and across the world.
Every can that arrives is more than just beer — it’s a reminder that someone at home is raising a glass in thanks.
This Foundation stands in memory of Scott McHugh, killed in Iraq in May 2004 while serving with NMCB 14.
His friendship and sacrifice remain the heart of everything we do.
